I did the craziest thing ever last Saturday and never even in my life have I start queuing up for an autograph session since the break of dawn. However I did it on Saturday!!! Hehe...
The night before I went to bed at 10pm and surprisingly I was able to fell asleep. Hehe... At 11 plus Lix sms us on the things to bring and after reading that message I zonked out again. =P Before I went to bed that night I sat up 3 alarms to wake me up from 3:40am onwards. Surprisingly I managed to wake up. Hehe... I am so proud of myself. Anyway, I still laze around in bed until Val gave me my morning call at 4am. Hehe...
After I woke up I called my mum up and had my shower to prepare myself for the long day ahead. After breakfast of 2 slices of bread my dad drove me to Bukit Batok to meet up with Annie whom I would be taking a cab with to EastPoint Mall at Simei.
At around 5:50am I guess we reached our destination. I walked with Annie to the place where her friends queued overnight and nearly got a shock. There was already a row of people queuing there. Since they could not queue overnight in the mall so the lot of people stayed out in the field behind the mall. I immediately joined the queue and notified the rest to come as soon as they can.
Dalphne called me at about 6am to ask where I was cause she had arrived too. She joined me in the queue since I was queuing in front. After that Ziee joined us followed by Nad and Jollin. Then Maria came along as well.
While Nad and Maria went to buy newspapers for us to sit on while waiting for the mall to open, Lix brought the rest of the gang to where we were. After the girls got back, we sat around in a circle and introduced ourselves since it's the first time we had such a big gathering.
Slightly after 7am the crew moved us nearer to the mall. Although we couldn't get into the barricades in the mall but we were at least closer. All of us waited again outside the mall as they made some more arrangements. By 8am, we were slowly guided into the mall area for us to sit and wait. It was worth while to be there early cause we managed to queue inside the mall and the view wasn't that bad as well.
After we all settled down, we immediately got the number card to go to the loo, buy batteries and of course food. Hehe... Our Nad mei was so lucky that she got card no. 186. Haha... then Maria, Jollin, Nad and I were like busy snapping pictures of that in the toilet.
After we got back with our food, we started eating and once we were done we started drafting our messages which we would be writing in the book Nad and Maria made for our dear Ella. It took all of us quite some time to complete it cause we were constantly being interrupted.
Since we were sitting in the last row, we were near the only exit where the rest could get out of the queue to get food and go to the toilet so we constantly had to make way for them to exit and enter. It started to get freakingly irritating because they keep kicking my knee and some idiots can't even walk. They almost stepped on my feet as well.
Seriously from after breakfast to the event starts I guessed we were just walking around. Taking number tag from the crew and visiting our 2nd batch of people who were being basked under the hot sun.
At around 1 plus we were all waiting anxiously for our idols to arrive. When everyone in front of us stood up, we followed suit and rushed forward. Since everyone was like cutting queue and all, we managed to squeeze to like the third row or something but we were being surrounded by tall guys. Anyway we totally disregard those guys when the show begins. Hehe...
Before we rushed forward, some of us were given our mascots to hold and I'm so glad that we did cause Ella and her laopos definitely saw us and even POINTED at it!!!! Shucks... Can it get better?
Man, the whole 'live' radio interview and autograph session totally like went by in a rush in my mind but I'm just so glad that she enjoyed her trip in Singapore.
When singing 'Miss Universe' Ella was so totally high that she just kept doing sexy dances on stage. Darn. Hebe forgot the lyrics while singing 'An Jing Le' and was teased by the lyricst Selina.
Just before we got on stage to get our lyrics book signed by the girls, Dinah and I were practicing what we were going to say when we get up. But when she got on stage Dinah totally blanked out =P
Hehe... Not like I was any better. When I stood in front of Ella my mind was kinda blank too, I blabbered out my 'speech' of asking her to look and read the gifts we had given her and told her to visit Philippines and Indonesia on behalf of my other friends who are far away in those countries. Since I was holding onto the Chun's mascot and it was kinda like at her eye level I saw her glancing at the mascot when listening to my hopefully clear talking. Hehe...
I was so high after that that I nearly missed shaking Hebe's hand but I guessed Hebe was kinda getting used to it since before that Maria, Nad and Jollin also forgot to shake her hand. Hehe...
After we got our autographs done, we all met at the taxi stand and we were screaming non-stop, telling each other of our encounters. I bet those people around us must have thought we were a bunch of crazy girls. Hehe... But who cares.
We had our group photo taken then we all parted our different ways. Some of us went home, some went back to continue taking pictures but most of us rushed down to Causeway Point where S.H.E was scheduled to have another event.
I shared a cab with Nad and Jollin while Lix, Dinah and Ziee took a ride with Su in her car. On the way to Causeway Point, we just can't stop talking about how Ella electrified us and all. Hehe...
Somewhere through the journey all of us got tired and fell asleep. Hehe... Seriously I didn't expect the cab fare from Simei to Woodlands to cost us S$21 but well, it's over.
We reached Causeway Point at around 4:50pm or so, then we immediately rushed to the stage area to look for a good spot to stand. However because there was still an event going on we could not really get good standing spots.
Jollin left for home shortly after then the rest of the girls joined us. Since we had more people then we tried to go search for different good spots to stand.
We found a rather good one on the left side of the stage but we weren't sure if Ella would be standing there or not. Anyway we were too lazy to move so we just stick to the spot. Nad and I went to get dinner after that because we wanted to finish our food before S.H.E appeared. Hehe....
The second group consisting of Felicia and gang joined us at around 6pm or so.
At 7 plus S.H.E finally appeared. But we were greatly disappointed. They didn't perform any songs besides chatting with the 100.3 DJs and asking everyone to vote on omy.sg. There was another matter pissing me off. It was the stupid 100.3 DJ Ah Ken. HE WAS FREAKING BLOCKING OUR VIEW OF ELLA ALL THROUGH THE SESSION AND WHEN WE SHOUTED AT HIM HE JUST TURNED AROUND LOOK AT US THEN CONTINUE TO STAND THERE! WTF WAS HIS PROBLEM?
Then whenever he moved away we would try to take pictures of Ella immediately BUT HE ALWAYS SWING BACK INTO VIEW WHEN WE SNAPPED THE SHUTTER!!! FREAKING IRRITATING!!!
Haiz... Throughout the whole event at Causeway Point no matter how we shouted Ella did not really look at us but at one point she stepped back from the group and looked at our area. Should I be happy about that? I guess I should. Hehe...
The whole event ended with everyone celebrating Hebe's birthday in advance. After that S.H.E left and the crowd dispersed. We hung around a while more and took group photos once again.
We got our fellow CE lovers from ce.cn to help us with the photo taking. Hehe... However something weird happened. Out of nowhere a kid held out a camera and took picture of us too. Were we being too rowdy or attention seeking?
Anyway, after that was done Dinah and I took a cab home since we live so close. My voice was totally gone. Hoarse from all the shouting I suppose. Anyway, it didn't really got better and I even have a cough now. Great.
That night after watching 'Together' the new drama by Jiro Wang and Rainie Yang and eating supper of instant noodles I fell asleep all through to Sunday. Hehe...
Haiz... I guess before I continue my long overdue posts about my trip in Taiwan I better update what I have been doing since 2009 started before it become another long overdue post.
2 Jan --- Woke up at around 9am after sleeping for only 4 hours the night before =P. Took a shower, had breakfast then took a cab with Jowyn to Golden Mile Complex to buy her return tickets to KL. We met up with Felicia and after Jowyn bought her return tickets we crossed the overhead bridge to the hawker centre opposite to sit down and have a chat. We waited for the desert and chatted until it was around lunch time and the crowd started coming in then did we left. We sat at the bus ticket retail shop and continued chatting until it was time for Jowyn to board her bus.
After Jowyn left, Felicia and I made our way to Marina Square to sing. Initial plan was to go Top 1 but they were fully booked for that day so no choice we went to KBox. Well although we didn't sang for a long time but it was still good to relax.
After singing we had dinner at Yoshinoya, shopped around for a while then made our way home.
8 Jan --- For lunch I went out with my colleagues to a Penang restaurant at Serene Centre to try out the food there. It wasn't that bad but I feel bad that they have to pick non-spicy food most of the time so that I could eat it.
After work, I met up with Sarah who had came all the way here from Taiwan for her holiday. I met her at CityHall and walked a bit before deciding on having Thai Express for dinner. We sat around for a long chat before we shopped around a bit more and left for home.
9 Jan --- After work I met up with Lay Wei and Chris for Red Cliff movie marathon at Jurong Point. It had been so long since I met up with them so was kinda expecting it. I reached like around 6:30pm since my dad drove me there so I shopped around for a bit before they arrived.
Before the marathon started we had dinner at Delifrance. We had a bit of difficulty searching for a place to eat because the whole shopping mall was so packed with people all around.
Anyway we had our dinner successfully and after that we went for the movie. Seriously the movie wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. I thought it would be boring or I would fall asleep but luckily it managed to capture my attention.
The whole marathon ended at around 2am or so then we took a cab back home.
10 Jan --- Woke up super early that day despite sleeping quite late the night before. After refreshing myself I went to Chua Chu Kang MRT Station to fetch Sarah who would be bunking in my house that night.
After meeting her we had brunch at Lot 1 since the both of us had not eaten anything yet. After the brunch we went back to my place. We chatted and after that she accompanied me to my organ class.
We made our way to Orchard after my lesson was finished to meet up with Felicia. But we were late so Fel had to wait for us to arrive. Then we walked over to Hereen to see what we will have for dinner.
We sat and chatted in Shoduko for like an hour or two while waiting for Chris, Lay Wei and Summer to arrive. After everyone was there we had dinner. Due to the lack of sleep the night before I was having an headache and was almost half-asleep throughout dinner and the chatting.
After dinner, we went to Partyworld at HSBC Centre for a four hour singing from 10pm to 2am. Since there was DBSK song there and Lay Wei is currently all crazy over them, she had a great time there.
At 2am we left the place and took the night rider home. I was so drained with the activities with the night before and that night I slept on the bus.
Sarah and I reached home at around 3am, after a change of clothes I fell asleep while chatting with her =P I feel so bad for always dozing off while talking to her.
11 Jan --- I set my alarm to wake up at 8:30am but I missed out on all the 3 alerts. At 9 plus I think I woke up for a short while and said to Sarah who was reading that she was awake so early. I was supposed to wake up by then but after turning my back at her I fell back into a slumber and only woke up at nearly 12pm. =P
After both of us showered and had brunch or should I say lunch, Sarah packed her bags and we chatted while waiting for Su who would come to pick us to go to the zoo.
At 2pm we made our way to the lrt station to wait for Su to pick us. At 3pm we were at the zoo and were touring the place. It had been so long since I went to the zoo that I almost forgot how it looked like or how it would feel to be there.
We were asked to leave at around 5pm or 6pm as it was about closing time. After exiting the zoo, Sarah and I bought Ben & Jerry's which was situated there and had a great time eating it. Hehe...
Su drove us to Woodlands MRT station after that to fetch Jess, another of Sarah's friend then we had dinner at a hawker centre which was near the 2nd link.
Dinner was nice Malay food with rice and 4 dishes. After dinner there was nothing to shop around in the area so Su drove all four of us to VivoCity.
Upon reaching VivoCity, we decided to get some coffee then go to the rooftop area to have a chat. However we were stopped by a salesperson asking us to buy some nail products. Anyway Jess came up with a plan and we ran off.
We got coffee from Coffeebean then head up the building. We sat around, enjoyed the breeze, watched the people around and chatted. We chatted until close to 11pm before Su drove us home. On the way we had Class 95 on and since it was late they were playing all those all English songs that we were familiar with so we sort of sang along in the car.
Su dropped me off then drove the rest home.
12 Jan --- I took leave from the office that day and went to the airport to send Sarah off. Her flight was at 1pm so we met at T3 to have brunch at Ya Kun. After that we took the skytrain to T1 to send her off.
I was feeling kinda sad cause I got to spend 2 weeks with her (one week when I was in Taiwan and the other when she was in Singapore) and it will be ages since we would be seeing each other again since she will be going back to the States in June to complete her studies.
Haiz... but all good things must come to an end. We had a group photo and a tight hug before sending her off.
After the airport trip I met up with Lay Wei at Lot 1. We shopped around, went to the library and had Mango Ice as well as Japanese desert at MOF.
30 Jan --- Since I had the New Year week off, I met up with some of my online friends. I arranged to meet Felicia and Ziee at Orchard MRT station. We had lunch at one of the stalls at the Basement of Takashimaya. After that we spent an hour or so in HMV Hereens doing nothing but listening to music and enjoying the air-con.
Then we walked to Plaza Singapura and had Mango Ice at Ice Monster. Hehe... how contradicting that I didn't had any Mango Ice when I was in Taiwan since Taiwan is like the homeland of Mango Ice.
After we finished eating, Felicia left first to go collect her handphone from Sony at Wisma Atria then go to her grandmother's house.
Ziee and I stayed behind and in the end decided to go watch 'Bride Wars'. Hehe...
The movie was fine but cause I really like Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway so I find it good. Hehe...
9 Feb --- After work I met up with my sis to go watch the special screening of 'Look For A Star' starring Shu Qi and Andy Lau. We had dinner at Shaw House Long John Silvers then head to Cinema 2 to watch the show.
It wasn't really good but it was funny and I enjoyed the view of Macau as well as the movie. After movie, we went back home to rest.
10 Feb --- Went to meet up with Ziee at Bugis Junction to teach her Chemistry. Seriously speaking it had been 6 years since I saw science books and it kinda surprised me a bit that I still remember bits and pieces of the subject =P
Well I guess that's all in my life since 2009 started. Anyway it's Valentine's Day today so here I'll wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. No matter if you have someone in mind or not but still enjoy the day.
I'm still working on Part 3 of my Taiwan trip and let's hope it will come real soon.
For now.... Ciao!
9:41 PM
26 December --- Woke up at 7am and prepared ourselves for the day's event. It was a windy day. Took the train to Taipei Main Station and because there are like 8 exits there, we were a bit lost. While looking at the map and figuring where to go I decided to take some random shoots of the station.

When we were there, there was a marching procession. We didn't know if it was alright to walk when they were marching but we still went ahead and after that we took the train to National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.

At 12 plus we made our way to Taipei 101 since it was just a 10 mins or so walk from the Memorial Hall. Just as we were about to reach we saw that the workers were already starting to build the stage beside the building for the countdown party which was 5 days away.

We didn't spent much time walking around in the Taipei 101. Instead we made our way to the counter located at level 4 to buy our tickets to go up to level 88 and 89 of the building. Spending NT400 for the tickets was rather worth it because the view up there was splendid. You can see the mountains/hills and the sea.

We made our way to the train station after spending like an hour in the building so that we could catch the train to Keelung. Since it was quite a walk from Taipei 101 to the train station, Jowyn's friend bought donuts for us from Mister Donut. I got to admit the donuts taste so much tastier compared to the ones in Singapore. Hehe... maybe because it isn't that sweet.
Took some photos along the way and also during the wait for the train.

At 2pm or so, we took the train and started out our 2 hours journey to Keelung Train Station.

When we reached, it was raining and we didn't really know what to do. However in the end we took the cab to Yehliu Geopark. The drive took us around 30mins and the driver was going so fast that I felt like puking since I didn't had my lunch. But the view of the sea when we were in the car was beautiful.
Upon reaching the entrance of Yehliu Geopark we bought our tickets and made our way in. Although the wind was blowing strongly that day but it was really nice. The sounds of the waves crashing onto the rocks, the beautiful colour of the skies and the feel of the wind on the skin, everything about the place is indeed special.
it feels good to have the wind in the hair sometimes

At 5pm we made our way out of the park and walked to the bus stop to catch a bus to Danshui. Although the route looked short on the boards but it took us at least 3 hours to get there. I was chatting with Sarah on the bus but I was really tired that I dozed off =P
All of us rushed to the bathroom immediately after we alrighted because our bladder were busting after not going to the loo for a long time. After the toilet break we went to Danshui Old Street to have a taste of the local food. I had a cup of fried mushroom, a stick of barbequed bird's eggs, ice-cream popiah and ah gei.

After having our ah gei, we shopped around for a while more before we hopped up the bus to get to get to Tamshui Fishers' Wharf. The night view there was indeed nice. We crossed the bridge and walked around the jetty as we listened to the melodic voice of the singer singing in the cafe nearby.

see how strong the wind was on that day?
At around 10pm we made our way back to the hotel. We alighted at Taipei Train Station along the way to purchase the High Railway tickets to Kaohsiung the next day. Seriously I didn't expect the ticket to be so pricey.
I'll stop here for today cause it will take ages to load the photos. I will be working on part 3 soon.
Just another thing before I end.
HAPPY 23rd/24th BIRTHDAY TO JUNG YUNHO!!!
I wanted to do a blog entry just for him but haha... look at the number of outdated posts I have to do. Forget it. But anyway I still have to wish him a happy birthday
